Accessibility Statement

Weah 2029 is intended to make campaign information, public records and participation tools usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technologies.

01

Our accessibility approach

The platform is being developed with WCAG-oriented practices and a target of substantial alignment with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This statement describes an ongoing design and engineering standard rather than a claim that every page or third-party file has already achieved formal certification.

02

What the website is designed to support

  • Keyboard-accessible navigation and interactive controls.
  • Semantic headings, landmarks and form labels.
  • Visible focus states for interactive elements.
  • Responsive layouts that work across mobile, tablet and desktop screens.
  • Readable contrast and scalable text.
  • Alternative text for editorial images where descriptive information is available.
  • Reduced-motion support for animated components such as the homepage hero slideshow.
03

Documents, historical media and third-party content

Some older documents, archived photographs, externally hosted video, PDFs or third-party source material may not meet the same accessibility standard as the campaign's current web interface.

Where practical, the campaign will provide accessible summaries or web-based context for important documents and will improve media descriptions as the archive grows.

04

Forms and public participation

Contact, volunteer, newsletter and media-enquiry experiences should remain usable without relying solely on colour, motion or a pointing device. If a form prevents you from submitting an enquiry, please use the alternative contact route available on the Contact page.

05

Motion and visual effects

Animated campaign elements are designed to respect operating-system reduced-motion preferences where supported. Decorative motion should not be required to understand essential content or complete a website task.

06

Feedback and assistance

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact the campaign and identify the page, feature or document involved. Where possible, include the device, browser or assistive technology being used so the issue can be reproduced and corrected.

07

Continuous review

Accessibility will be reviewed as new campaign pages, documents, video, forms and interactive features are introduced. Significant accessibility issues should be treated as product defects rather than optional cosmetic improvements.
