Programme: IMF Extended Credit Facility
On 11 December 2019, the IMF Executive Board approved a four-year Extended Credit Facility arrangement equivalent to about US$213.6 million. The programme was designed to support fiscal and monetary adjustment, restore macroeconomic stability, strengthen governance and catalyse donor financing after a period of serious economic stress. The IMF noted that the programme followed difficult adjustment challenges and required substantial reform implementation. This entry records the agreement and reform framework, not an assertion that all programme objectives were achieved immediately.
