Programme: Liberia Urban Resilience Project

The World Bank approved the Liberia Urban Resilience Project in May 2022 and the Government of Liberia signed the financing agreement later that month. The US$40 million IDA package — US$20 million grant and US$20 million credit — targeted flood-risk reduction, drainage and neighbourhood infrastructure, urban planning and improved services in vulnerable communities. The World Bank set a target of at least 200,000 beneficiaries. The programme continues beyond the Weah administration, so the record concerns financing and launch, not full completion.
