Programme: IFISH / New Redemption Hospital
Construction at the new Redemption Hospital site began in mid-2018 with an initial maternal and child-health focus. In May 2020, the World Bank approved the Institutional Foundations to Improve Services for Health (IFISH) project to expand the facility so it could also provide surgery and internal-medicine services and become fully equipped and operational. The intervention built on health-system strengthening work that predated the administration and involved World Bank and Global Financing Facility support. This record therefore documents expansion financing and implementation during the Weah presidency, not final completion of the entire hospital complex during the term.
